We are Cantraybridge College, a college for young people with learning disabilities or autism in Inverness. Our staff have been supporting young people to fulfil their potential for almost 25 years.
Thank you for supporting our Cantray MicroEnterprises project, which will provide training and support to young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to conceive, launch and succeed in running their own microenterprises, enabling them to earn their own income.
We want our project to allow young people who can be overlooked by employers, to showcase their abilities as self-employed, contributing citizens and to raise expectations of what people with learning disability/autism can achieve with the right support.
Receiving this funding will allow us to employ an entrepreneurship trainer to help our budding entrepreneurs. We will educate 24 young people in one year, with half bringing businesses to fruition and half becoming enterprise ready. All 24 students will gain qualifications through this initiative.
